Destiny 2 Dawning Event

The Dawning returns today in Destiny 2, and in this video we'll have a guide of everything you need to know. The new Mistral Lift weapon, Dragon Armor, tips on how to efficiently bake your cookies, a look at all the new rewards and cosmetics, and much more. The Dawning is Destiny 2's holiday or Christmas-themed event.

It's been going on for a long time and it's back today in Destiny 2. The basics of this event remain the same. It'll be snowing in several locations and activities and you can make and throw snowballs to freeze and shatter enemies. Evil Avante at the tower will start you off with your quest where you'll learn how to gather ingredients, dawning essence, and how to improve and bake a bunch of cookies in your oven.

Dawning Essence is a big currency for this event, so players are going to want to know the most efficient way to farm this. Now of course you can play the game and they'll drop alongside it if you aren't too worried about it, but as of last year, 2023's Dawning, Legend Lost Nectars gave 16 plus per run. Last year was season of the Wish when the Dawning was around, so Riven's Lair gave about 12 to 15 Essence on a 5 minute run. So keep in mind some of the seasonal activities from episode 1 and 2, which might drop some quick Essence for your Guardian.

Every year it seems like somebody comes up with a best farm guide, like how we had the contact mission from Lightfall's campaign. So let us know in the comments down below if you find a better farm. The new weapon this year is a void linear fusion rifle called Mistral Lift. It's an adaptive burst with 533 charge time and 6 in the magazine.

Here are the perks in column 3. Withering Gaze, Closing Time, Clown Cartridge, Envious Assassin, Keep Away, Moving Target and Reconstruction. In column 4 you can get Vorpal Weapon, High Impact Reserves, Frenzy, Precision Instrument, Firing Line, High Ground and Bait and Switch. The link is down below. This year there's also a dawning bake-off event in-game. Each week for three weeks the community will progress together by baking certain cookies for vendors.

Doing so will increase a drop rate for three brand new emblems. And you can get all three emblems over the three weeks and it's not just, you know, a weekly thing. So this week we baked Galardoodles, Bright Dusted Snowballs, Star War Thins, and Neo Moon Cakes for Nimbus. Next week, Traveler Donut Holes for Ikora, Classic Butter Cookies for Eva, and Dark Chocolate Motes for the Drifter. And lastly the third week, Vanilla Blades for Shaxx, Lavender Ribbons for Saint, and Etheric Cold Snaps for Variks.

If we bake enough of these, we will sooner than later reach the threshold and increase our drop rate chances for the emblems. If you're interested, there's also a Guardian Fashion Contest going on. The theme is Stasis, Winter, or Desserts.
