Xur Inventory Review: Key Takeaways

What is up, guys? It's your boy Rick Cakis, and today we have a brand new Zur inventory review from the weekend of May 30th to June 2nd. And so, let's get started. All right, let's take a look at what he has. Firstly, for the catalyst, we have the Cold Heart Catalyst, which is going to do not much to be honest. And then we have the Traveler's Chosen catalyst. Now, I do think this dramatically improves the Traveler's Chosen, right? And I actually also think the Traveler's Chosen is kind of an underrated gun. It really gets your abilities fast back, but neither of these are super meta. It's not like uh you're going to get the catalyst for either of these weapons, put it on, and then you have a god tier gun. So, it's really up to you. Now, as for the exotic armor pieces, well, the graviton forfeit has a 67 total stat roll here, but too much strength. Usually, hunters don't want strength because they can just dodge and get their entire melee back. After that, we have the heart of inmost light for the Titan. Main spike being recovery is not really what you want to see. 65 overall, not that great. Then we've got Whoa, a 66 Nezarax sin with 28 mobility. So guys, normally this would be a hard pass, but I will say that stats are being overhauled in the Edge of Fate. We know this. Bungie has said this. Uh so you may want to invest in something like this where mobility is not good right now but suddenly with the stat rework in the edge of fate mobility might be very good. So keep that in mind guys. Now moving on from there we have exotic ciphers and non-exotic class items being sold this time around. So not looking too great. Let's check the random item raid banners. I mean all right I do need raid banners. Okay, but aside from that, usually not really going to invest in that. Let's check the weapons here. Well, for the random exotics, we have the colony here. Really popular exotic for the people who fly around the Crucible at incredible speeds, if you know what I'm saying. And then, uh, but it's okay overall. Did actually get a recent buff. Uh, then we've got the hard light. Actually performing pretty well right now with all of the void buffs on top of the buff to the fundamentals exotic perk this thing has. Uh, then we've got the Jade Rabbit. Not that good. Uh, then we have the Hawk Moon here. And we do have a Hawkm Moon with rangefinder. That is one of the better perks it can get, but corkcrew rifling is not really what you want want to see as much. Uh, polymer grip for handling is actually not bad. It's kind of just okay. Really kind of just okay. Moving on from there, guys, for the weapons, oh my goodness. Well, we have the true prophecy aggressive frame with overflow and timed payload. Actually, not a terrible PVE role. Now, the problem is like, are you going to use aggressive frames in PvE? Uh, not necessarily, but these are some pretty uncommon perks. This is still a pretty uncommon like PvE god roll uh to find. So, actually not a terrible role here for PvE. Next up, we have the escape velocity with oh my good like this is actually the god roll for it. Surrounded plus overflow plus appended mag to increase that mag even more. So you already have a 46 round mag. You can probably also put on back. Yeah, it goes up to 47. You're doubling that every time you walk over uh some special. And again with surrounded with a lightweight frame, this thing kicks out a decent amount of damage. Now this is a very very old god roll. So, we've since had more weapons enter the frey, but still like this is like the escape velocity PVE god roll right here. Uh, so definitely consider that. Moving on from there, we have the uh Pades character with Genesis Eye of the Storm. No, thank you. Then we have well, dragonfly plus slideshot plus appended mag is actually not terrible in PvE either. Now, this can actually get timed payload, and I do prefer that. But yeah, this is actually a totally decent uh not bad roll for PvE. Not quite the god roll, but still not bad. Then we've got well, we've got a vorpal weapon, a clown cartridge roll on the Kanis Major. Again, a very good role for PvE. Rapid fire frame. You've got alloy casing as well for the reload speed, quick launch. Like this is a totally solid if you are a new player, if you just recently started the game, you might not have a better heavy grenade launcher role than this right here. So definitely consider this, especially, you know, you might have one that's arc while this is solar. Good idea to get good rolls in multiple different uh elements. And then after that, we've got the uh uh thin precipice with steady hands, adrenaline junkie, absolutely not. And then we've got a flash counter, counterattack, crown spitter. Um, well, flash counter is decent with that stronghold titan build. And then counterattack actually does help that stronghold titan build as well, guys, to be honest. Um, but overall, nothing super insane, but again, like definite literal PvE god roll for the escape velocity, arguable PvE god roll. Actually, just the PVE god roll for the true prophecy as well. So, that's kind of interesting. Now, for the armor, well, let's check the rarity of the veiled tithes set on light.gg. So, this was introduced recently in season of the witch and therefore it's a very common set with around 52% of guardians having this very helmet. Is a very cool looking helmet though, like very unique looking set. So, if you did miss this, uh definitely a good chance to pick it up. As for the rolls, I know they're going to be trash. Yep. Okay, every time it's a new set, the rolls are absolute dog water. For whatever reason, Bungie did not program these, right? So, the old rolls always have like around 60 and then the newer rolls have absolute trash, like world drop stats. I hope they fix this one day cuz it it just doesn't make any sense that you randomly come to Zur and the entire set is just trash one weekend, right? Um yeah, just not even worth my god. All right, let's switch to the warlock. All right, for the warlock, let's check the sword here. Uh, tireless surrounded. I mean, surrounded is like the best damage perk you can get on this thing, to be honest. Jagged Edge 2, you're usually going for Relentless, but not a terrible role. As for the armor, let me guess. Yep, yep, yep, yep. It's all trash. Let's check the hunter. All right, for the hunter, let's check the sword here. Energy transfer flash can counter. Same thing like with the stronghold build kind of goes hard. Aside from that, not that great. My god, Bungie, please fix this. Like imagine you convince your friend to finally start playing Destiny 2. You're hyping up Zur. Like, bro, trust me, I know your armor sucks right now, but as soon as Zur comes, you can get some good armor. And then it's this. Your friend's quitting, bro. Your friend is gone, dude. That's the problem. Anyways, highlight this week is definitely going to be these two PVE god rolls. Um, and pretty decent roll here, too. Guys, that is going to be it for the video.
