How to Obtain the New Taken Shader

  • Obtain the new Taken Shader in Destiny 2 without needing all 60 chest pieces.

  • Only 15 pieces are necessary, but you actually only need four specific chest pieces from Eris Mourn's apartment.

Steps to Obtain the Shader

  1. Collect Chest Pieces

    • Acquire four specific chest pieces from Eris Mourn's apartment.

  2. Accessing the Chest Room

    • Enter the portal and go underneath to access the chest room.

  3. Interacting with the Plates

    • Stand on the plates to receive a buff indicating the pieces to place.

    • Input the following coordinates by shooting the board:

      • Pawn A6

      • Knight B2

      • Pawn F4

      • Bishop G7

  4. Final Board Input

    • After removing the pieces, input the final board configuration as displayed on the screen.

  5. Finishing Up

    • Head to the start of the room and interact to light up the entire room.

    • At the back, engage with the glowing water to trigger a cutscene.

    • After the cutscene, open the chest to collect your rewards.

Guide to Obtain Taken Shader in Destiny 2

So today I want to show you all how you can get the new taken shader without needing all 60 chest pieces. As you can see, I got the Taken Shader with only 15, but you actually only need four chest pieces from Eris Mourn's apartment. Once you have these four pieces, head through the portal and go underneath. Interacting will take you to this chest room. Now, when you are in this room, you stand on these plates and they give you a buff telling you what pieces you are going to place. And basically what you need to do is shoot the board and input these pieces in the right places. And this is what you need to input. Pawn A6, knight B2, pawn F4, and bishop G7. This will take all the pieces off the board. And now you need to input the final board. This is the final board on screen. Once this is done, head over to the start of the room and interact. This will light up the entire room. And at the back, there will be this glowing water which you can interact with. It will give you a cutscene, but don't worry, I will not spoil it.
