Efficient Farming Strategies for Dawning Event

ladies and gentlemen the dawning is here and it's a little bugged don't switch characters you're going to lose some progress you probably saw the clip of a free upgrade event card yeah they disabled all that can't complete the event book so what can you do well you can still get the linear as you see here i just farmed a whole bunch of them i just got four of them and we didn't get the role we want we're looking for envious bait and switch with enhanced battery included masterwork really doesn't matter reason why this is good is because it's a three burst linear with vice stinger and we know when they finally take off these gl artifact mods that linears could make a return you could farm this if you want doesn't really matter it's just every year i kind of show people how easy it is to farm essence and cookies so first off you're going to want to masterwork your oven if you haven't yet it's okay it just makes things a little easier now i target a dessert cookie which is easy taking kills an electric flavor which is art kills trinity ghoul just makes this very simple now there is some other cookies you could work on if you wanted to do dark chocolate you could do this for the drifter it's taking kills and void kills graviton but i've always tested stuff over the years of where you can sit the most you want to sit in whisper mission and kill those thrall you want to sit in the shattered throne thrall way and kill stuff where i go i just load into the shirochi encounter that's right everyone's favorite place to go level up and get all the goodies the reason why i load in there again i have not tested it but dawning spirit drops while you're in there think last year they disabled dawning spirit dropping in the shattered so i just didn't want to take the risk also i do have the chip on from the dawning so when i do get an ingredient to drop i have a chance to get dawning spirit and you need dawning spirit so you can get these linears the whole purpose of this farm is to get as many gift and returns as you possibly can and you only get those from baking cookies you get dawning spirit from farming those cookies because you're getting those to drop while you're in the activity and then you turn the cookies in rinse and repeat now again most of you might not care about about these weapons, but there are some people that do. What I did, I came in to Grandma's little cookie space here and I picked Perky Presents. The reason why I did this is because I wanted to have additional perk in the left column. And then I'm like, hey, I should probably buy this too.

Dawning weapons have a chance to drop an additional perk in the right column. Well, that's 70 essence down the window. But to unlock the linear, you're going to need to buy the limited exchange ticket, which is another 35 spirit. now i do want to point out that you're probably like well clyde i brought the perky presence and the perkier presence and i'm supposed to get a chance at getting three or four perks on one weapon well we think it's bugged because every single linear that i've handed in has not had extra perks and people from chatter telling me that too so be careful so if you just want to go straight to the linear and save 70 essence go for it you're wondering why i did that well i got this juicer last year and this thing's nasty incandescent autoloading with target lock rewind i love this thing one of my favorite solar machine guns in the game so it does pay off but i just handed in four linears and looks like we got screwed over so yeah we didn't get those triple perks or double perks but it's okay anyways let's get back into the farm load into shirochi put on trinity ghoul kill as many ads as you can wipe and repeat you don't have to do it in this section if you want to do it any other place in the map you can it's just this is where i can go shut off my brain and get tons of cookie materials remember you're getting both at once and you're also getting spirit which is huge if you want to pick up some of these bounties while you're in there you can but the additional bounties just tell you to bake certain cookies which doesn't pertain to you now you could do this that i haven't done yet and get 30 essence and 10 dawning spirit but again it's not really pertaining to the farm once you get enough materials you're taking butter your electric flavor you're going to need essence of dawning well you're going to load into the shattered throne and do the old ward cliff bake strat the reason why you're getting anywhere between 21 essence of dawning and 22 essence of dawning per run which takes about a minute with total load in time depending on your hard drive or that you ps3 that you're loading in there with could take up to two minutes but again this is all about efficiency i just did this on stream got 240 essence no problem it took me 11 runs pretty free this is how you're gonna stonk cookies rinse and repeat go get your essence from shattered throne go get your materials from the raid at shirochi go turn in your cookies on zur at treasure island and then come here to grandma and buy as many weapons as you like i'm gonna do this until i get the roll i want on the linear hopefully this little strat helped you out and it sucks that bungee had all these problems with launching Dawning, but hey, all good.

Remember, you can resub to your favorite content creator or gift a sub to get this Tabula Rasa emblem, and it will be going on the whole event of the Dawning. Hopefully you guys are enjoying farming these weapons and cookies, because yeah, funny to see all this stuff get launched in the game and just, it goes wrong. Felt bad for Bungie.
