Overview
Guide explains a dominant invasion setup for quickly completing Undertaker triumphs and farming the red Praxic Blade Crystal.
Core strategy revolves around two Renegade abilities: Behemoth (overpowered offensive mech / tank) and Revitalize (extreme ability and super regeneration).
Advice is about exploiting the current balance to make invasions easier, faster, and less painful, especially for players who usually avoid PvP.
Author emphasizes starting the invasion grind early in the season, before more players discover and refine this setup.
Key Mechanics
Behemoth
Currently the strongest Renegade option for invasions and Undertaker triumphs.
Incredibly tanky: takes very little damage from most weapons and even abilities.
Deals extremely high damage to players; fighting one without a proper counter feels “hopeless.”
Only reliable counters are rocket-assisted weapons and supers.
Obtained from the Totality Division vendor:
Must reach Rank 3 to purchase Behemoth.
Ranks 4–5 provide further upgrades to improve it.
You typically only get one Behemoth per invasion, making it a critical resource each round.
Revitalize
Introduced as a healing-focused Renegade ability.
Final two upgrades transform it into a cooldown engine that regenerates all abilities, including your super.
When fully upgraded, ability and super regeneration becomes very fast.
Synergy and Interaction
Combining Behemoth with Revitalize lets you cycle supers rapidly during invasions.
You can keep a super “banked” specifically to counter enemy Behemoths while using your own Behemoth for offense.
With both abilities upgraded, you become very difficult to answer unless the enemy is running the same setup.
Practical Tips For Invading
Behemoth usage
If you are confident the enemy has no effective counter (no rockets, no super ready), stay in Behemoth and do not pick up enemy crests right away.
This is intentionally toxic but allows you to farm extra kills per round before ending the encounter.
More kills per Behemoth equals faster progress toward multiple Undertaker triumphs.
Do not leave your Behemoth empty for more than a brief moment:
It is easier for enemies to destroy when you are not piloting it.
The enemy may also be able to steal it if you leave it unattended.
Be mindful of timers:
Behemoth has its own duration before it despawns.
The invasion encounter itself also has a timer.
Do not allow stand-offs where you and another player just watch each other; push the fight so you get value before time runs out.
You cannot heal Behemoth with Revitalize:
The only minor “healing” comes from orbs that sometimes drop from breakable pots on the ground.
In practice, gathering enough orbs takes too long and the Behemoth timer will usually expire first, so this is more of a meme interaction than a real sustain plan.
Loadout and loot
Energy slot:
Run Uncivil Discourse hand cannon; it is currently extremely strong.
You spawn with maximum special ammo, making it excellent for both long-range picks and close-range duels.
Kinetic slot:
Use Mint Retrograde or New Malpais.
These provide options for dealing with enemy Behemoths, especially in situations where you must rely on weapons rather than a super.
Ground loot and pots:
Break pots as you rotate between locations.
Pots can contain heavy ammo or heavy weapons, which are particularly useful if you are using an eager edge sword or another strong heavy option.
Wager strategy
Only wager one death mark per invasion by default.
The only time you should wager three death marks is when going for the all-in triumph, which specifically requires a three‑mark wager.
Higher wagers give more loot but reduce the total number of invasions you can play.
Triumphs are primarily about getting kills and match completions, not loot volume.
The author felt that after each invasion there was roughly a 50/50 chance to get the death mark back, allowing many more invasion attempts than expected.
Progress and resources
Invasion matches are short, so you rapidly farm credits and dark matter ingots.
Prioritize spending these resources to:
Buy Behemoth if you do not have it.
Upgrade Behemoth and Revitalize to their maximum ranks.
Once both are upgraded, each invasion becomes significantly easier and more consistent.
Triumph Strategy
Undertaker requirements
You only need 8 out of the 10 available Undertaker triumphs to earn the seal.
Identify which triumphs are realistically achievable for your skill level and time.
Behemoth-focused progress
Getting kills while inside Behemoth can naturally complete several triumphs with minimal mechanical skill.
The author reports that kills in Behemoth can efficiently handle around five triumphs on their own.
Review the triumph list in advance and target those that align with Behemoth play (multi‑kills, streaks, etc.) during invasions.
Counterplay And Defensive Advice
Mirroring the build
If you are being invaded or playing Double Cross and expect to face this setup, the best counter is to run the same core build: Behemoth plus Revitalize.
When a match starts:
Focus on getting your super charged as soon as possible using Revitalize.
Call in your Behemoth while you build super so you can pressure the enemy and still have a super ready as a countermeasure.
Fighting enemy Behemoths
If both you and the opponent are in Behemoths, avoid a straight “mecha 1v1.”
Instead, exit your Behemoth and use your super on their Behemoth.
Most players will focus on your character model when you are outside the mech, not the Behemoth itself, letting you preserve its HP.
Shutting down the opponent’s Behemoth is extremely important:
Each player generally gets one Behemoth per invasion, and losing it leaves you at a major disadvantage.
Once their Behemoth is gone, you are free to use yours with much less risk.
You may sometimes find a Renegade chest that gives additional credits for another Behemoth, but in most invasions you should assume “one and done.”
Supers Recommendations (against Behemoth)
General notes
Roaming supers are strong for killing normal players but are weak against Behemoths.
They typically do low damage to the mech, and you are likely to die before destroying it.
Prioritize high-impact, burst supers that can quickly delete a Behemoth and pilot.
Titan
Run Thundercrash.
Thundercrash can one‑shot both the Behemoth and its pilot, instantly removing the threat.
It also remains strong for general player pick‑offs and aggressive pushes.
Hunter
Avoid tether and other roaming supers when your primary concern is Behemoths.
Tether is notably poor at destroying Behemoths.
Golden Gun is a solid overall choice and excellent against players; Blade Barrage is also acceptable for burst kills.
Pick whichever of these you are most comfortable securing instant kills with.
Warlock
Chaos Reach is the recommended super.
Other Warlock supers are weak versus Behemoths:
Behemoths can even tank a Nova Bomb.
Roaming Warlock supers fare even worse in terms of reliable mech damage.
Chaos Reach can melt one or more Behemoths, especially if multiple enemies rush you in their mechs.
Other Build Notes
Abilities and fragments
Your standard subclass abilities and fragment choices are mostly irrelevant to this strategy.
Invasions revolve around Behemoth usage and super timing; if you fall back on weapons, fragment bonuses rarely matter.
Armor mods and ammo
Super-generation mods are unnecessary because Revitalize handles ability and super regeneration.
Ammo mods are low priority:
You spawn with full special ammo, even if running double special weapons.
This frees you to ignore fine-grain min‑maxing and focus on the core Renegade setup.
Practice, Timing, And Map Knowledge
Invasion experience
Despite the author not playing PvP seriously for almost a year, this setup made the grind feel manageable and even enjoyable.
Being overpowered is framed as part of Destiny’s power fantasy, which helps make the grind less frustrating.
Map familiarity
Learning invasion spawns and common movement routes is one of the strongest long‑term advantages you can gain.
Repeatedly playing invasions will teach you likely enemy paths, good angles for Behemoth engages, and strong super usage positions.
Seasonal timing
Start your Undertaker and Praxic Blade Crystal grind early in the season.
As more players discover this setup and refine their play, invasions will become tougher.
Getting ahead of the learning curve lets you exploit the current imbalance before the wider player base catches up.
Action Items
Progression and unlocks
Rank up the Totality Division to at least Rank 3 to purchase Behemoth.
Continue to Ranks 4 and 5 to unlock all Behemoth upgrades.
Fully upgrade Revitalize so it can rapidly regenerate your super and other abilities.
Loadout preparation
Equip Uncivil Discourse in the energy slot.
Run Mint Retrograde or New Malpais in the kinetic slot for additional anti‑Behemoth options.
Invasion routine
Keep wagers at one death mark for efficient invasion volume; use three only when pursuing the all‑in triumph.
Break pots while rotating to pick up potential heavy ammo and useful heavy weapons.
Use credits and dark matter ingots primarily to finish Behemoth and Revitalize upgrades.
Super and playstyle choices
Titans: run Thundercrash.
Hunters: use Golden Gun or Blade Barrage instead of tether for Behemoth scenarios.
Warlocks: use Chaos Reach for deleting Behemoths.
Practice consistent invasion routes, early super generation, and disciplined Behemoth usage to finish Undertaker and secure the Praxic Blade Crystal.
Alright, G'day everyone. If you're looking for ways to make the grind for Undertaker just a little bit easier, or make it much less painful to grind for the red Praxic Blade Crystal, then I've definitely got something for you in this video. I basically started and finished my grind for it all in one night. And I'm gonna be honest, I was hesitant to make this video at first. One, because showing what's really strong is gonna make it harder for myself, and two, because this setup feels like cheating.
The best part about this invasion setup is it's really hard to deal with unless you're running the exact same thing. So you really should get in and do all your invasions sooner rather than later. Don't push it to the end of the season when everyone's getting good at invasions. Because as more people play with this setup, the harder this process is going to get.
Right now, a lot of players haven't figured out what's the best things to run. And I mean, a lot of players haven't figured it out. So grab some popcorn and your death marks and let's get into it.
Your biggest advantage is going to be in which Renegade abilities you pick. And currently there's two really unbalanced abilities. And these are Behemoth and Revitalize. Behemoth is single-handedly the best way to do most of the invasion triumphs for Undertaker.
And it is the biggest carry when invading because it is so hard to play around. They take next to no damage from most weapons and deal an insane amount of damage to players. Even abilities don't do a whole lot of damage to them. If you're in a behemoth, It feels like cheating, and if you're against a Behemoth, it feels absolutely hopeless.
The only things that work against a Behemoth are rocket-assisted weapons and supers. Now, if you have absolutely no idea how to get this, then it's probably because you haven't visited the Totality Division yet. You need to be rank 3 in order to purchase this ability, and you'll need to be rank 4 and 5 to unlock the remaining upgrades.
I don't have rank 5, but it was so easy to do with the Behemoth, I didn't even need it. The other Renegade ability I mentioned is Revitalize. It was originally introduced to you as a healing option, but the last two upgrades for Revitalize allow this Renegade ability to regen all your abilities, including your super, and when fully upgraded, it will regen really quickly.
Now remember how I mentioned that to counter Behemoth you needed a super? Well here's how you get it. Not only can you use your super to just deal with other players, you can keep it in your back pocket in case someone else pulls out a Behemoth against you. With these two abilities, you're basically untouchable. Now there are some tricks you can use to give you even more of an edge when invading or to just make this whole process of grinding a little faster and more fun because I fully understand that PvP isn't for everyone.
Hell, I haven't even touched PvP properly in almost a year, but this hasn't actually been that bad. I might even go as far to say that I had fun. When I did my invasion grind, It felt good, it felt fun. Being overpowered in Destiny is the true power fantasy.
So tip number one: if you're in a behemoth and you're confident the other player has no counter to you, don't pick up their crests. I know this is hella toxic, but this means you can get one or two more kills per round using the behemoth, getting more progress towards heaps of these triumphs. Tip number two: never leave your behemoth for more than a couple of seconds.
The enemy will have a really easy time destroying it when you're not inside, and I'm pretty sure they can steal it as well. Tip #3: Take a look at the triumphs for Undertaker and try to think about which triumphs you can reasonably work towards. You only need 8 out of the 10 available, and on screen are the ones that I managed to do.
Getting kills inside a behemoth can reasonably do 5 of these triumphs very, very easily with very little skill. Tip number four: Don't just stare at players and wait for them to make a move. Not only does the behemoth have its own timer before it disappears, there's also a timer on the entire encounter.
Don't let someone stalemate you. Tip number five: You can't heal your behemoth with Revitalize. but you can heal it with the orbs from pots on the ground.
This is more of a meme than something that's actually useful since the time it'd take to get enough orbs would cause the behemoth to run out of time anyway. Tip number six: Your loadout should be Uncivil Discourse in the Energy slot. This new hand cannon is absolutely cracked right now and you start with Maximum Special so it's perfect for long and close-range fights. Mint Retrograde or New Malpays will give you an option to deal with behemoths, so run that in the Kinetic slot. Especially if you get yourself into a situation where you have to use your weapons to deal with the behemoth.
Tip number seven: Break the pots on the ground as you run between different locations. They can have heavy ammo, which can be helpful if you're running an eager edge sword, or have some other useful heavy weapon. Tip number eight is to never wager more death marks.
Keep it at one every time. The only time you should do this is for the all-in triumph, where you have to wager three death marks. Other than doing this triumph, wagering more death marks means you'll get to do less invasions. Sure, you get more loot, but for most of these triumphs, you need kills which comes from doing more matches. If the wagers doubled or tripled your triumph progress, then it would make sense, but that's just not the case.
And after every match, it felt like I had a 50/50 chance of getting my death mark back. So I actually got to do way more invasions than expected. The matches go by so quickly you'll be farming credits and dark matter ingots insanely fast, and you should be using these resources to purchase upgrades for Behemoth and Revitalize if they're not maxed out already. Now I asked myself, how would I counter this? If I was in a double cross or being invaded, how would I deal with it?
And honestly, I would just use the exact same build. When you load in, you need to get your super recharged as soon as possible, and then call in your behemoth while you do this. If you charge the enemy and they're also in a behemoth, don't try to have a mecha 1v1.
Just jump out and super them. You'll save way more HP on your behemoth, because nine times out of 10, players will look at you and not your behemoth when you're outside of it. And it is really important that you shut down their behemoth, because you only get one per invasion and so do they, which is both good and bad.
It means once you handle someone else's behemoth, you're free to use your own with very little threat. But it also means if you lose yours, you'll have to put in a bit more legwork because you won't get another one. You might find a renegade chest with additional credits, but the most likely scenario is you'll be one and done. Now as for which supers to run, I'll suggest one for every single class. Roaming supers are not very good.
They are great for killing players, they are terrible against behemoths. They don't deal a ton of damage to them and you'll probably be killed before dealing enough damage to make any kind of difference. Titan should just use Thundercrash. It one-shots behemoth and the pilot, eliminating the threat instantly, and it's good for just finding and killing players anyway.
Hunter tether sucks at destroying the behemoths, so don't use that. Golden gun is okay, and it's really good against players. So you may as well use this or blade barrage.
Warlocks, Chaos Reach is your only option. Behemoths can tank a Nova Bomb, and the rest of our Supers are even worse. Chaos Reach can be really good against multiple Behemoths if the entire team decides they want to charge you in their robots. The rest of the loadout is whatever. Your abilities don't matter because you're going to use your Super or the Behemoth, and if you default to your guns, the Fragments aren't going to matter anyway.
Armor mods don't matter because you don't need to have super generating mods because you're just gonna drop a revitalized. Ammo isn't important because you spawn in with full special even if you're running double special. So that's why the rest of the build doesn't matter. Apart from everything that I've said, practice and getting used to invasions is going to be your biggest asset.
Learning how the spawns on a map work will greatly benefit you in the long run, so just get in and start trying your hand at some of these invasions. I hope this gives you the advantage you need to get your seal done and to finish off the grind for the Praxic Blade Crystal. So as always, please have a wonderful rest of your day.
Struggling with the Undertaker seal, Invasion triumphs or you’re just stuck grinding for the Red Dark Matter Crystal needed for the Praxic Blade? In this video I break down the fastest, easiest and most consistent method to finish everything in just a few hours. This strategy is absolutely insane right now in Destiny 2 Renegades and while a lot of players are still figuring things out you’ve got a limited window before the grind gets harder. I’ll show you exactly why Behemoth and Revitalise are the two most broken Renegade abilities in the game, how they let you dominate Invasions and why Bungie will almost certainly have to adjust them later. From counter-play options to build choices this guide covers everything you’ll need to smash out the cool new title Undertaker and get your hands on the praxic blade crystal that all sith lords want. Whether you’re an endgame grinder or someone who rarely touches PvP this method will make your Undertaker progress ridiculously easy. I’ll also show you how to counter enemy Behemoths, which supers to use for each class and how to keep your matches fast for maximum efficiency.
