Focuses on the Destiny 2 weekly reset for December 9 and early Renegades expansion systems.

  • Covers update 9.5.0.1, Vanguard Alerts, the new Equilibrium dungeon, vendor resets, and ongoing seasonal/Portal content.

  • Includes a sponsored segment outlining the Manscaped Performance Package 5.0 Ultra.

Renegades Weekly Reset

  • Tharsis Outpost faction shipments (small, large, and massive) are delivered once per week if you have unlocked them via reputation.

  • The massive shipment is tied to Tharsis Reformation rank 5 on a given syndicate, and players can reach rank 5 across all syndicates simultaneously.

  • Massive shipments are described as a major reward for completing Tharsis Reformation priority contracts; they arrive weekly and are an upgrade over the large shipment at rank 5.

  • Shipments are expected to focus on Renegades gear such as weapons and armor, though exact contents will not be confirmed until the reset occurs.

  • In the Portal seasonal hub, weekly objectives and dailies continue to roll out like traditional seasonal challenges, alongside the usual weekly reward rank refresh and ongoing active orders.

  • Unlike previous seasons, upcoming weekly objectives are not fully visible ahead of time, so players will need to wait for each reset to see new challenges.

Game Update 9.5.0.1

  • A new game update (9.5.0.1) arrives with the reset and will introduce various fixes and adjustments.

  • Bungie specifically notes a prepared fix for a crash occurring during the Witness fight in The Final Shape campaign.

  • Open access to expansion content has been extended until December 16, letting players without owned expansions play older expansion content during this period.

  • Vanguard Alerts debut with this update as a Nightfall-style playlist, accessible from the Seasonal Hub near the Conquests tab.

  • Vanguard Alerts feature curated activities that rotate weekly and are tuned for accelerated power progression, making them valuable for players still leveling.

  • The playlist appears to use fixed difficulty and reward structures rather than the variable system seen in the Portal, and is expected to feature activities like the returning Sunless Cell, which can be run for weekly bonus loot.

  • Bungie indicates these activities will provide bonus rewards once per week, offering a focused path to faster gear acquisition.

Dungeon: Equilibrium

  • The new dungeon, Equilibrium, launches on Saturday, December 13, with contest mode active for roughly the first 48 hours.

  • To participate in contest mode:

    • The fireteam leader must own the Renegades expansion.

    • The leader must have advanced the dungeon intro quest, which is picked up from Orna in the Cantina.

    • A full three-player fireteam is required to start the activity.

    • Fireteam power is disabled during contest, and players are recommended to have at least 370 power.

  • Once a team earns an official contest clear, Bungie plans to unlock the standard (non-contest) difficulty for the dungeon.

  • The dungeon will offer new rewards themed around Renegades, with full loot details and encounter specifics to be discovered when it goes live.

Portal / Legacy Content

  • On Kepler, weekly missions are expected to continue resetting and granting Tier 5 Kepler loot for players around 350 power; above that, the loot cave is the more efficient farm, but the missions still rotate weekly.

  • In the Legacy and Legends sections of the Director, older raids and dungeons are now fully farmable for both legendary and exotic rewards, so players can repeatedly run them without traditional weekly lockouts.

  • Zavala’s weekly packages will refresh at reset based on player performance on the previous week’s seasonal track and activity engagement, with new seasonal items appearing in his inventory.

  • The Eververse store will rotate its offerings with the weekly reset; specific items will be detailed separately in a dedicated vendor-focused update.

  • For those interested in legacy challenges, this week’s Ascendant Challenge is the Forfeit Shrine, accessed via the Garden of Isilla, and remains available for players who enjoy revisiting Dreaming City content.

Special Events / Promotions

  • Bungie is running a Discord quest that grants the Ink Drawn shader.

    • Runs until December 14.

    • Requirement: play Destiny 2 for 30 minutes while the Discord app is open.

    • Players enroll through the linked quest page (as referenced in the TWID and video description) to receive credit.

  • Open access to expansion content continues through December 16, allowing non-owners to replay or sample past expansion missions and activities before the promotion ends.

So we are coming up on the first weekly reset inside of Destiny 2 Renegades and well yes it'll be interesting to see exactly what we get in terms of the expansion content. This will be the weekly reset for the 9th of December of course bringing a bunch of changes uh additions to the game actually we do get another game update we've got a few things to talk about regarding the core of Destiny 2 with the weekly reset and additionally there will be at least a little bit of bit of Renegade stuff. In relation to expansion content, there's a little bit of a wait and see component, so that'll be interesting. But for the reset, we will round up additional updates from Bungie, a bit of a roadmap of some of the content that's going to be dropping in the game this week, and we've got a handful of other things to discuss.

So as always, guys, if you enjoy the video, a rating very much helps us out. And as we get into the content for the week, give us your impressions after the first full week of Renegades down in the comment section. Firstly though, it may be getting cold out there, but some lawns grow all year round. The holiday season is now upon us and you may feel busy getting gifts for everyone else, but Why not treat yourself to the ultimate self-care experience? It's the Manscaped Performance Package 5.0 Ultra.

This isn't any old package. Manscaped have taken their game to a new level with this all-in-one grooming kit. The Lawnmower 5.0 trimmer sets the standard in grooming precision.

Featuring dual skin-safe blade heads, the Lawnmower is precise enough to trim your Christmas tree with added peace of mind. One of my favorite features is the bright LED light, so you can see what's going on down there. Also, it's cold out here, man. I'm going inside.

where I can charge the lawnmower quickly via USB-C. The battery life on this is actually pretty incredible to be fair. It also has a travel lock for when you're on the road delivering gifts, and it's completely waterproof, which is impressive.

The package also contains the updated Weed Whacker 3.0 Pro, Manscaped's ear, nose and eyebrow trimmer. It's ergonomic, and importantly, it'll keep you feeling clean. And the package has festive touches included as well. like the Crop Soother Moisturiser and Preserver, which will keep your skin hydrated and, thanks to the Preserver, well, you won't smell like balls. It also reduces chafing, which is a good thing too.

In the box, you'll additionally get the Shed Travel Bag for your new hardware as well as the Manscaped Boxers 2.0, which are very comfortable Although I'm going to wait for it to warm up a bit before I model them, for personal reasons. So you might want this for yourself, or it could make a great gift if your loved one needs some encouragement in the maintenance department. And right now, if you use promo code Houndish15 at checkout, you'll get a wonderful 15% discount and still get the free gift. So it's well worth a look.

All of the links are down below. And thanks to Manscaped for sponsoring the video. Now though, as we get into the weekly reset stuff coming up, the first interesting component will of course be Renegades itself.

We don't know exactly what we might get as part of a weekly reset. One thing that we know will happen over here at our faction vendors in Tharsis Outpost, if you've earned weekly shipments by way of your reputation rank, right? right here, then we should be getting those on Tuesday. So of course there is the small, large and massive shipments that we're able to earn. You get the massive shipment once you reach rank 5 on any given syndicate and we can unlock these across all of the syndicates.

It says a massive reward for completing Tharsis Reformation priority contracts. Shipments arrive once a week and this is an upgrade to the large Tharsis shipment and can be earned at Tharsis Reformation reputation. rank 5. So like I said, you can earn rank 5 on all of the factions simultaneously.

We'll see exactly what these packages actually contain. I would assume it's largely going to be, you know, Renegade's gear, weapons, armor, things like that. But you never know. There could be additional little bonuses thrown in the mix, maybe even a chance at some lightsaber crystals or something like that. That would obviously be lovely, but absolutely no promises.

And outside of that, we will simply have to wait and see if anything additional or unexpected pops up. Of course, though, in the portal seasonal hub, we will get the continued rollout of weekly objectives and things like that. These weekly objectives are basically the seasonal challenges that we've always had as are the dailies, I suppose. But in terms of the actual rollout, where we've previously been able to see the weekly objectives coming up, we currently can't. So we're just going to have to wait and find out.

Otherwise, obviously, we'll get the weekly reward rank refresh and the continuation of active orders and all of that stuff. There will also be a game update this week, which will be update 9.5.0.1. I'm sure there'll be some fixes and changes in there. One of them, Bungie have said they've prepared a fix for a crash that players are experiencing while fighting the Witness in the Final Shape campaign.

This actually affects the open access content that's currently been available for Destiny 2, and they've expanded or extended open access up until December 16th, which basically allows players who don't own expansions to actually play the expansion content. So if there's anything you want to revisit from the past, definitely take advantage of that up until the middle of December. And the other component added to the update this week, one of the biggest components of course, will be Vanguard Alerts.

So Bungie have said this is going to be a Nightfall style playlist in a way. It'll be kind of similar to the Conquests tab that we have right here. It's actually going to appear next to that on the Seasonal Hub. And it will have a bunch of featured activities which reset on a weekly basis, which have accelerated progress in terms of power leveling.

So if you are still power leveling, they'll be very beneficial. And I'm guessing kind of fixed rewards because the difficulties don't work in the same way that normal portal stuff does. We're just going to have to wait and see at reset, but that will include things like the Sunless Cell returning from previous seasons.

And I guess we get the opportunity to run them once per week for the bonus accelerated loot. So I'll keep you posted with that on Tuesday when we get to the reset. The other expansion component that's coming up this week though will of course be the launch of the dungeons. So this is called Equilibrium and it'll be kicking off on Saturday the 13th of December. Bungie have said in terms of actually getting access to it on contest mode, which will last for the first sort of 48 hours of it, you must own the Renegades expansion and the fireteam leader needs to have progressed their dungeon intro quest which can be found at Orna in the Cantina.

Also, a fireteam of three players is needed to launch the activity and fireteam power will be disabled during contest and players are recommended to have a minimum of 370 power. I believe they also said that once the team gets an official clear of the contest, they will launch the normal mode for the dungeons. So another weekend dungeon launch coming up this week and it will certainly be interesting to see what Bungie have cooked up in there. There's some interesting rewards and of course I will keep you posted through the course of the week.

but let us know in the comment section if that's something you're going to be jumping into this weekend. Another brief mention, just in case you happen to have missed it, but Bungie have launched a Discord quest that can award you a special shader. So this runs up until December 14th, and basically you just have to play Destiny 2 for 30 minutes while you have the Discord app open to receive the ink drawn shader. So you can sign up to the quest, which I will link in the twid down below in the description, and that will hopefully get you a juicy new shader. Now, in terms of other Portal content and things in general, on Kepler, which I'm actually having to use this new timeline thing, it's the first time I've looked at it, I think we still get the weekly missions that can award Tier 5 gear.

We'll have to actually see on that one. I'm assuming they wouldn't have changed that. But yeah, if you're at 350, sorry, the weekly missions... drop tier 5 kepler loot and of course if you're above that you may as well use the loot cave if you are continuing to farm anything from kepler but they'll keep resetting nonetheless on top of that in the legacy world tab of course when it comes to raids and dungeons whether they're in the legends tab or fixed to specific destinations we can now farm dungeons and raids for both legendary and exotic loot to our hearts content so just something to keep in mind right there if you're jumping into any of the older raid and dungeon content Other things that will reset though, Zavala should get his weekly packages, which of course are based on our performance the previous week on the season track and things like that, so keep an eye out at reset as we will be getting new seasonal gear featured at Zavala, which is certainly nice. Otherwise we'll additionally see the reset for the Eververse store, but I'll keep you posted with that on the vendor video on Tuesday.

Our last mention for legacy content though is the Ascendant Challenge which I'll keep mentioning because some folks enjoy running them, I guess. This week we get the Forfeit Shrine which can be found via the Garden of Isilla so pretty easy to get to but I'll run a clip showing the location at the end of the video. And so for today guys, let us know in the comment section anything you're hoping to see this week in the game.

My goal is to finish hitting rank 5 on all of the Tharsis factions and then I can sit and complain that there's nothing to do, can't I? LOL. I'm only joking.

I've had a lot of fun with Renegades. It's going to be pretty cool to see the dungeon this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll really get involved in contests because I'm an old man now. I like to go to bed early and that stuff launches pretty late for us here in the UK.

But I'm definitely going to be jumping into the dungeon in general once I'm able to, so let us know if you'll also be doing that in the comment section and I'll keep you posted on all of this Vanguard Alert business as well. If you enjoyed the video, a rating really does help me out on the channel, hit subscribe and I can keep you posted with more Destiny content, but otherwise, thank you for tuning in and I hope you guys have an awesome day.
