ladies and gentlemen of the Jungle Squad things have been a little bit different than what we've been used to seeing on my YouTube channel lately and they're also a little bit different over on the twitch Channel kind of want to talk about just what the past couple months have been like what the future is looking like for both me my YouTube channel my twitch Channel talk about Destiny and what trials has been like a little bit and uh just yeah give General updates on everything because I feel like that's important and I just want everybody know this is completely unscripted just kind of going for it so let's get to it first of all the YouTube channel very clearly has been seeing a lot less videos than we are used to seeing let's talk about why Trials of Osiris which I did just stream for almost 12 hours today so my voice is a little bit tired it is best when it is populated and that is not just me saying I want to beat bad players I want to play against noobs in general the more players that are playing trials the better it feels for everybody the quicker matches are for actually finding a match the better the connections are if you're a 1.0 and the player base is populated you might actually win more than half your games but if you're a 1.0 and the player base is really really low and you're left with just a higher concentration of set sweaty players well you're going to lose most of your games for sure now the reason this is important is a lot of my YouTube content in the past has been based around the idea of doing silly fun things copycat cards trying weird builds and challenges and seeing if we can go flawless is doing it and in the past while the player base was at least more populated than it is today that was not only doable but it was also enjoyable I enjoyed challenging myself today we're at a point now in Destiny 2's interest the player base as a whole is a lot lower the interest in the game is a lot lower as a result just going Flawless has been a difficult task in itself I'm used to doing carries all the time and even that has been put to a halt because so often the trios playlist is so ridiculously unpopulated that the ability to get a carry through seven straight wins to the lighthouse is nearly impossible so on Twitch still doing carries did four today but doing carries a lot less often and on YouTube you're just seeing less content I started to get burnt out and frustrated from doing things like copycat cards and weird challenges when I would just go up against super super teams and then lose the game and be mad at myself and think well if I had just been using the build I'm most good with maybe we would have won so I started to give up on the idea of a lot of what weed used to see on YouTube Just because it was frustrating to lose to teams that were stacked and sweating their asses off and I'm over here using goofy Stu and stuff and losing and being like why am I doing this so YouTube channel hasn't been doing as great as a result and I apologize for that we are still over on Twitch live streaming all the time and I want to tell you about my goal over on Twitch I have been the most dedicated unarguably trials player since Trials of Osiris came out in the game and while my stats in my Flawless count was never the goal getting people to the lighthouse and just keeping my twitch Channel and YouTube channel alive that was always the goal a product a byproduct of me working so hard every Friday Saturday Sunday Monday getting as many people to the lighthouse as possible byproduct of it was I ended up getting to Lighthouse a lot and when you look at it now I have well over a thousand more Flawless than anybody else in the world I'm not trying to be bragging or braggy or egotistical but something that happened about a month or two ago is my interests sort of shifted as trials carries got difficult as doing copycat and commentary cards and all that stuff kind of got frustrating and difficult I had to find a goal that really excited me and that goal became going for 5,000 Flawless I'm currently at just over 4,900 in other words we're in that final stretch and that has been the goal that's really been carrying me now again it was a byproduct like I was trying to get other people flawless I was trying to stream and put as many hours in as I can to grow the channel I was trying to produce YouTube videos out of all that streaming the byproduct of all that was Wo my Flawless Count's really high so the Gaze has kind of shifted towards a personal thing now now I'm worried about me I want to hit 5,000 Flawless before the end of the year and that's going to take me averaging 20 25 Flawless as a weekend from now until the end of the year we do have two iron Banner weeks coming up which means no trials so the time is a little bit more crunch you can hear me losing my voice so give me a second basically what I'm telling you right now is that what we are doing over on on Twitch and when I say we I mean me and the people I'm playing trials with I'm just trying to obtain Flawless sometimes it's Carri sometimes it's solos sometimes it's Duos the goal is to hit 5,000 Flawless before the end of the year and then take a break from trials until the next episode episode 3 I believe is coming out February 4th early February at some point is episode 3 and the goal is to take a month month and a half whatever it ends up being 100% break from Destiny 2 and trials it's a very exciting goal for me I really want to hit 5,000 and then I'm going to just stop and then I get some time off to enjoy myself to be with my wife to travel to see family see friends whatever it might be and take a break this is important for the YouTube channel to understand because it means that the content on YouTube is really slowing down I apologize for that I really enjoyed making YouTube content frequently but I got to a point where I recognized that trying to make this content in exchange losing games I shouldn't lose and just getting more frustrated than I should be it wasn't a fair trade-off the content wasn't really happening and it felt like I was trying too hard to make it happen when in the past content was always easy for me I would just put some goofy stuff on let's go play trials and I would do my best and it was fun while I can't get into any specific details I can tell you that trials could look a little different in February AKA episode 3 and I do expect myself to be coming back in full force grinding that for a little while and hopefully getting into into the carries and all that again and the YouTube content and all that again I just have to let you know that it's going to look a little bit different it already has for the last little bit and it will continue to until episode 3 I'd love it if you came to Twitch and just made an account and hung out there like I said Friday Saturday Sunday Monday still pretty religiously live on Trials days streaming a lot of hours so while the YouTube content isn't what it used to be the twitch content is still very much there but also we'll be taking that break on Twitch when 5,000 Flawless has happen I would love it if you would come over to Twitch join me in this push for 5,000 Flawless is because it is a goal that I am very proud of a lot of people try to undermine the goal and give me a lot of hard times about lol it's some number in a game go touch grass and whatnot but any goal doesn't matter what it is in the world any goal if you have a personal goal you me if you have a personal goal that you have been working really hard towards you've been dedicated to you've put the time in you've grinded like you deserve to be proud and I'm really proud of the fact that I have stayed so dedicated to helping people get to the lighthouse and trials weekend after weekend after weekend for nearly 5 years now and I did it in D1 as well this is just 5,000 Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Flawless so I'm proud of it I'm excited to hit 5,000 it's going to be a really big moment on stream it's something that I've been looking forward to now for a few months as I've seen that number in front of me and have started to grind to it hopefully this video without the script and without really thinking about what I was going to talk about made all the sense to summarize really though the player base in Trials doesn't allow for the same freedoms that it once did as a result carries less often cool content on YouTube less frequence and for that I apologize and I wish it weren't the case however there is still a dope goal in mind and 5,000 Flawless is is around the corner twitch.tv/ grenader Jake join us for the push to 5,000 YouTube I will never forget about you and it's not like this channel is over it's just slowing down for a bit and I'm very much hoping it picks back in full force in February when some changes come to the playlist thanks for watching ladies and gentlemen of the Jungle Squad have a wonderful rest of your day and I hope to see you on Twitch
