I played Seven Destiny clones to find out if any of them were worth your time the games I chose were either heavily labeled as Destiny Killers by the destiny Community or were labeled as looter Shooters on the steampage first up is out Riders a third person looter shooter that has definitely taken some inspiration from Destiny if I remember I think this is like the big Knight guy w we even get a cut scene look at us dude bro this literally like come on dude it's it's the it's the dark blade come on all right Mark him Twisted rounds go behind it oh put into perspective the build crafting this game you can make builds so busted you can like one tap bosses it's it's kind of stupid all right let's try a new character this is kind of nice I don't remember them giving you this option you can start at the prologue main story or in the DLC let's do since I just haven't made a Devastator it's like the one character I didn't make we'll do Devastator dude I just remember last time we played this Clyde had a Devastator build where like he was using in that ability and he was hitting I think it was literally like 1 billion damage Mr Chang come how about the little hot tea I would love some hot tea Mr Chang I keep all the good stuff should have paid old man no no um oh my God wait that was kind of sick I think I remember like what the first main boss is I just don't remember what I how long it takes to get there I think it's like either level eight or level 12 one of the two the enemy density in this game is actually really good off rip oh I'm dead oh my God please please please holy [ __ ] the I will say bro of of all things that this game does well their their ability like ability tree build crafting is insane on how good it is oh this is the first major boss this is actually a lot earlier than I remember it being what's this guy's name again it's like Goss or something Gus Goose yeah Goss we'll interrupt ah I can't get away no no no bro ooh ooh spicy how do I choke don't choke win your ones whenn your ones whenn your ones let's go earlier bosses actually need to have health like obviously like compared to the Gear you have I wish they would introduce these to you a little earlier I I guess you don't need it by the first boss but I do really like the fact that you get your first three abilities like before you go to the first boss you can kind of learn how to use them and stuff like that I think the progression of this game is fine some of the missions are boring but once this is another game where you get to the end game and that's where most of the content is that's how these games are designed obviously I'm going to go bold here and give it a four out of five next we have the most notorious game that was supposed to go head-to-head with Destiny or be a real Destiny killer anthem when this game came out I thought to myself hm maybe this game does have a chance but then I realized the game is made by EA all right let's watch this dude we really got to make sure we understand the lore guys this is important also I just realized that the map for this game is like a freckle on sweat's forehead now I miss my lore what did I bro can someone catch me up we might have to watch it again do not smile at me like that that was the creepiest thing I have ever seen why is everybody in this game hot M King for just for the immersion I'm really sorry but we have to we have to I don't even remember what I was going to change I can't think the one thing I will say that I do like about this game so far is whatever gun I'm shooting is very satisfying to hear the bullets fire that was the most anticlimactic big giant kill I think I've ever seen in a shooter are the are the graphics supposed to be like this beat usare or do I have my settings on low cuz those giants look like those could be Graphics from like the GameCube of all games that have been labeled as Destiny Killers by like the general Gaming Community this one probably had it or got called the killer more than any other game so when I say this I'm not trying to say I told you so but when everybody was talking about how Anthem was going to kill Destiny before it came out I my first question is oh who makes the game as soon as people said EA I was like yeah I'm not playing it I already know if we're being honest at least so far this isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be it's def it's It's Not Great by any means but it's not as bad as I thought it would be wait I'm creating a character now what a weird place to put character creation why does he look like that one YouTuber do you know who I'm talking about yes Jack manifold why does he look like Jack manifold Interceptor matchmaking bro can you actually imagine I end up finding people I'm pretty sure they took the servers down but I I think you can just play Everything solo so why did it make me like do a mission with the first class and then choose a different one I don't really understand that that's the L of those horrible now finish off the remaining scars what all right we're popping the ult this just does not feel like an ALT I think it's just bro this character feels very slow all right dude where's the first boss bro how long have we been playing I feel like if this game set in incubation for like another year it actually could be good wait are these players I feel like we're in the apocalypse oh my God the last five players I feel like the transmog could actually be really good cuz if if there's one thing EA is good at it's selling items do I have to do track missions do I have to do seasonal kind of figured it was just like follow the quest until it's unlocked but I don't know did they label this game a looter shooter they had to have right cuz the part that's crazy to me is I'm almost 2 hours deep and I have not fought one boss yet welcome to the pot a wait is this a boss I don't think this is a boss you're on my team oh dude I have no ammo bro I'm dead interesting that doesn't make me fly forward any faster I will appreciate that they actually kind of have like unique enemies in this game too and it's not just like copy paste dog [ __ ] turn turn turn what do you think will when we the mar wait this is almost a this is kind of a boss but I mean we've come this far we have to do a stronghold now move found a real boss after 4 hours come here big boy I will suck your nuts easiest clap of my life uh I have this level 57 thingy add specialization storage for the enhanced assault rifle ammunition increases 30% of Base damage increases Dr by 50% for 10 seconds on firing the last shot so that means I'm Juiced up now right here we go [Music] me thinks the game one was made for multiple people well unfortunately I don't really have that choice because there's about six people in the world playing right now oh bro boom here we go defeat the Swarm tyrants oh wait this thing's kind of cooking holy [ __ ] oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh where is shame that I've been playing this game for 4 hours now and I I got to fight like one and a half bosses there needs to be more of like strike bossing whatever you want to call it I'm going to give Anthem like a three and honestly I feel like that's generous next up is Borderlands 2 I chose this one particularly because most people in chat said two was better than three I've never played any of the Borderlands games I feel like we have to go with goth mommy Maya dude holy sensitivity who's that BR bro what is that forever time has am I supposed to be able to jump this or is it is that the I'm liking this a lot more than I thought I would the only thing that I I feel like this game lacks so far updated Graphics but you can't blame it because it came out in 2013 the enemies are actually like in the beginning of the game they actually shoot back and you can die which I obviously did all right I will give it a I'll give it a four four is really solid especially since this game even came up before Destiny next up is risk of rain 2 I honestly really couldn't tell you why this is labeled as a looter shooter but steam calls it one so here we are exit Escape pod find and activate the teleporter there's there's a timer running whoa whoa whoa okay so we're in third person wait oh R is an ability not reload excuse me I got to start over find and activate the teleporter so I spawned in a different spot equipment are powerful activated items all right I think I found the teleporter uhoh the beetle Queen oh god oh who whoa whoa whoa whoa bro there's so many enemies okay boss is dead it feels like I'm fighting World War III out here bro oh my God this ad density is crazy all right we made it to the teleporter see there these are all like different items I'm collecting at the top but do I like use them or are these passive do they automatically pop so I think I just have to stand inside the circle to like build up the thing I think so it looks like the longer you're in here the more the difficulty goes up bosses are dead am I understanding this game correctly why am I on Insane Mode now all right what boss we got got now the Grove tender okay hold on we're cooking turrets oh my God where'd it go it despawned okay so you can kind of change Focus Target with the turret that's kind of nice all right pick up Q dude yeah I will say one of the things that I don't like about this game so far the movement feels very clunky yeah I I would say well that's that's I guess my point is like getting in and out of cover is a little awkward sometimes but i' only slow her get to end game is the part I'm curious about I feel like so many games are this way and it's like it it is preventable but I don't think there's like any game on the market that has a really good new player experience like arguably the Desy new player experience might be the worst of them all bro I cannot hit this guy to save my life quite literally this gun is butt cheeks bro this thing is more really feel like a boss I just don't think a boss should die like the abilities in this game look cool the build crafting actually looks like it's good I'm really just just not impressed with like the movement the guns and the bosses so far and people are not going to like this one this is another one of those cases where I think the rating would probably go up as you actually get to end game but this is a really rough start cuz I do think like a game having good core movement is a really big part of like how much people are able to enjoy a game especially as you get into endgame stuff there's going to be like a lot of accidental deaths from like me not going behind barriers how I intend to I think a 2 and 1/2 is fair it might be slightly generous next we have Warframe which is the top play looter shooter on the steam charts right now and actually predates Destiny one of you jackasses took my name you're not me little bro you're not me give me my name what why does she look like kind of
